    Preparation Time: 10 Mins

    • Ghee for frying
    • 1 cup Milk Powder
    • 1/4 cup Milk
    • 3 tsp Butter
    • 1/4 cup All Purpose Flour
    • A pinch of Baking Soda
    • 1 1/2 cup Sugar
    • 3 cups Water
    • 4 Green Cardamom
    • A pinch of Saffron (Optional)

How to make Gulab Jamun

Cooking Time: 35 Mins

Step 1: In a bowl add milk powder, flour and baking soda. Mix well.

Step 2:
 Add butter little at a time. Mix nicely.

Step 3:
 Add milk little by little and knead dough. Keep aside for 10-15 mins. 

Step 4: 
Make small round balls from the dough. Approx 10-12 balls.

Step 5: 
Heat ghee in a pan. Put balls in ghee. Cook for 10 mins or till they turn brown in colour.

Step 6:
 Mean while heat water in a pan. Add sugar, saffron and cardamom to make syrup. Cook it on a very low flame till it comes to boil. 

Step 7:
Remove the balls from ghee and let it cool.

Step 8:
Once it becomes cool, add it in warm sugar syrup.

Step 9: Serve it hot
